Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character played by her mother in Roseanne, an ABC sitcom Roseanne. The parents of her didn't want her to pursue acting until she became an adult and was worried about the impact of stress. Perry did not like school and wasn't a good actor. She began acting at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred to the university from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry was able to move to New York to search for acting opportunities on TV, landing small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent But her home-sickness caused her to move back to California in search of theatre work. The show she performed in was Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In 2015, she starred alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on The ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. Also, she was cast on her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. Despite her family link to her character, she got the role via an audition.
